Hope the check up went well.
One more and this thread can be put into the dustbin of history. Which would be lovely - I would not want to be stuck in the middle 8s with HKR, and happily it's looking like we won't have to...

Massive result today.

Lost that and top 4 was gone and prospect of going to the middles would be a reality. If Hull lose to Saints and we beat Catalan which is a realistic prospect we would be 4 points or so from top 4.

Problem is today we were poor by the sounds of it we have to improve week on week now and hope results go our way and top 4 might not be that far off. If we do not improve then we could be having an off season from July onwards.

our poor spells matched up perfectly with lockers and micky mac not being on the field.

Lockers steadied the ship in he last 20 minutes and Micky mac had a very good game today. very agressive, very quick playing the ball and very quick of the mark for tackles.

the ref had a big effect on the game and both sets of fans were not happy.

problem we had today is we never got to build much momentum, widnes did very well at slowing the game and playing for pens (my favourite being a widnes player falling over a team mate and getting a penalty for it.)

These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Playing as we played today I cannot see the top 4 being a possibility. The squad played, for the most of the game, as 17 solo players. Any of the top 4 teams would have put 60-70 past Widnes. It was good to see Tony Clubb back, and scoring a try.

Our squad need to gel together and quickly, Catalans will have thier tails up after their win yesterday and we will need to be sharper than we were today.
How in hell did FPN get the Man of the Match. Widnes's second try was down to him not getting hold of the ball. Wrecking ball more lake suet ball.

We needed a win, any win. When lacking confidence the defenc can be more easily fixed. Win next week and I think we will see much more from us in attack.

My two penneth. The plus side we got two very laboured points but it was a game between two bottom 4 teams.
As has been stated a top 4 team would have had a pon full of points.
Expectations of a Wembley visit after that performance are a tad premature at the moment and top four is as likely as hitting the sun with a snowball.
A marked improvement is required 6/10!

We need 2 points so that we don't have to play In the middle 8s
We have 3 games left
Catalans if they win all 3 games left have a max of 21 points
Warrington if they win all 3 games left have a max of 20 points .
Leeds in top 4
We have 19 points a win against Catalans and /or Warrington we are in top 8

While i thought the run would end today it wasnt half laboured upon by a side that seems to have issues with not talking to each other, the collective case of jelly legs once Lockers was spelled waited till the second half which in itself is an improvement i suppose.

Sam not brilliant today,JB showed his human side with a poor, for him performance but he hasnt played all season that was to be expected,MM still nowhere near his best,Gells nowhere really to be seen at times.

Plus points,FPN had a pretty good game,Clubby and finally a win and after the last few weeks any win was due and most welcome.

The future? top 4 i think is unlikely and on that performance the CC is eons away as Salford would do us easily at the moment, but there is time before that hurdle has to be jumped.
