You mean we've won one trophy of which no one else was eligible to win?

Thats some heavy rose tinting on the season right there
Cronulla were eligible....

Your original quote said we have won more than anyone else this season, i assume you are talking about in superleague, no other super league team have been eligible to win a trophy so far

It's been a very poor season but the WCC win was an outstanding achievement.

Think Pedro is correct to point out the original post on this topic was disingenuous

Eleven other clubs were eligible to win the WCC,but only one won the the Grand Final to qualify.

Why is the WCC such an outstanding achievement? its 1 game at the start of the season, Wire have proved how random 1 game can be.

Its nice to win but its not an outstanding achievement, we played a NRL team as part of their pre-season,they have to travel round the world to us, play in conditions that are relatively alien, we've already had a couple of games under our belt and they came to us and had a few of their maiden nrl winning team gone

Its a good win, nothing more.

An outstanding achievement to me is Cas not being beaten at home all year, or winning the LLS

Problem is with our sport now is the real achievements have been devalued in place of flash in the pan prizes.

The WCC win was outstanding, the League season overall has been awful.
Good wins early on but after that utterly dreadful.

Like Wigan players on the ale at the new Micro Brewery at Haigh Hall on the Saturday afternoon before playing Widnes at home 24 hours later.[/quote] Presumably they were all staggering drunk or perhaps the club had a request for some players to attend ,they often get them.

Certainly the performance was poor v Widnes, whether it actually happened or they were hungover is another matter.
As for requests for players to make visits to a brewery a day before a game, I'm sure they'll have been told to just have half!

Taking nothing away from Wigan, but i thought Crunella very poor that afternoon it seemed to me they came to england and tried, laughably,to "out-wigan"- Wigan and a cold, damp february afternoon.

Wane played them like a fiddle in my opinion but sadly the side, for what ever reason have paid a heavy price since then.
