Jobo - good comments tonight...

On a separate note...

I have to laugh at page 3...

(Neutral viewers - just read it)

Backs against the wall time and...

we give in and start being negative again...

Then we win...

Now it's quiet...

Well done "Wigan Fans"

Strange game, back in the day we'd have put fifty on them.
True strength of a club lies in the playing staff and administration. Think the administration are hampered by the salary cap which leads to displays like this.

Maybe the clever thing is to play the game to your own advantage, good local network of interested amateurs, allied to a scouting staff finding the talent.

Salary cap and subsequent rules in place seem to be determinating how this game is going. Overall, think IL has called it right.

Can't say tonight was a great performance but overall, think we did the business.
Not sure what you are trying to say about the salary cap because the current team isn't limited by it. It's got several internationals in it and we pay two marquee wages (only team that does I think).

We aren't limited by the rules. We are limited by the coach. This game was the perfect example of why he needs to go. It was a virtual carbon copy of every other game played by Wigan this season. That is stick to plan A regardless of what is in front of you.

Despite being 20-6 up against a team man down do we change how we play, close the game down? Move their big forwards around? No. We play exactly as we do all the time. End up making stupid mistakes, let them in and are panicking at the end. With the playing staff we have this game should have been over by the 60th minute not swinging the other way and the reason it wasn't is poor tactics not the salary cap.

cant blame peoples emotions during a game.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I'm done with this site

You can't have any opinion other than "Wigan are perfect and the best thing ever" too many agendas not enough real debate anymore

There are a few people still trying but I'm sick of sniping from keyboard warriors

It's been a blast byw

As already said,a win is a win and that's all that counts at this point in the season. Just when we looked like winning it comfortably we become complacent and allow Hull back into the game. But that's what teams do,look what happened to us every time we went down 1-2 men last season. The Wire game was a classic case,we ended up running over them. On the sending off, trying to be realistic here, it was an unfortunate incident. Micky fired in and Watts reacted in a fraction of a second. Did he mean it? Only Watts could tell you that. It was an unfortunate contact but it was contact with MMs head which is classed as dangerous. How many times have players been penalised for accidental high shots on Robbie Burrow over the years. Nobody means it but it's still a penalty. If it's direct contact to the head the law states that the offending player should be sent off. I think Watts was really unlucky but Hicks had no choice. Lee Redford said after the match that Hicks was evening his bad decisions up for the no try decision for Clubby in the CC final. Tonight it possibly cost him 2 points but if Hicks had called both decisions the other way then Hull wouldn't have that shiny trophy in the cabinet. I know you're not well Lee but think it through next time.

Don't believe in this revenge or payback time.
Hull won the C Cup.
Tonight was a different competition for league points.
We won this one.

He is a grade A plonker isn't he. When him and Stevo started it was different than the Eddie Waring / Ray French flat cap and whippet eee-by-gum commentary but he's the one now past his sell by date.

Tonight showed sky as one of the biggest things holding the game back, the ref made a 50/50 call (with input from the video ref) and may have got it wrong, personally I think it was a sending off, but wouldn't expect a ban. But sky spent the entire game reflecting on it, Wigan won, but they had Scott Taylor dissecting why it wasn't a sending off, thier job is to commentate on the game and not have the refs hung drawn and quartered

There are countless wrong decisions over a season, but tonight was the most one eyed commentary and analysis I've seen in years.

The game was why we all watch RL and play it, two teams knocking hell out of each other, the second half was more controlled from Hull and showed wigans limitations

Great game, we should have won at a canter in the second half, it should never have been as close as it was
