Do you really believe he has put that amount into the club without getting a profitable return? IL is a successful business man and does not throw money away.pedro wrote:put 600k into the club last year, cant say hes cheapold hooker wrote:pedro wrote:after a disappointing season will IL make changes or go for it. He may well make changes but they will be the cheapest options available, which is why Wane is still here as he is on peanuts compared with Smith, Holbrook, Mcdermott etc. There may be a couple of new players whom once again will cost next to nothing, I am disgusted with the way the club is run on a shoestring.

That's easier said than done when you don't go through the turnstiles!?Dave-C wrote:Wane has got to go.
Next season will be worse.
Fans will start leaving in the droves.
You have to ask yourself how far you are willing to keep putting up with this crap! If you're a true fan you'll voice up.

You remind me of a premier league football fan that whinges about their salary yet still pays £x amount every week to see them.Wandering Warrior wrote:That's easier said than done when you don't go through the turnstiles!?Dave-C wrote:Wane has got to go.

I still can’t get my head round the “record” attendances quote from the other day it was bordering on delusional when you have lost 3/4K of fans from a couple of years back then how have they gone up to record levels..

Season over for me.
I ain't watching The Yorkshire Mafia and I ain't supporting Saints!
However, I do hope Saints upset the cosy applecart.
Really enjoying watching the NRL semis at the moment.
Won't be posting much either until next Season.

Re: Season over
Wane needs reconised and established coaching staff. i don't blame Harris for going for a coach job but him and Wane made a good match.
and a Matty smith style organising half who can kick Goals. for me williams has shown that although he has the potential to be a top half he doesnt have the ability to lead the team around the pitch.

These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Re: Season over
It's a tricky one! I'm glad I don't have to make the decisions before next season but here are some pros and cons as I see them:
Good record this year in terms of winning the world club challenge, nearly winning the challenge cup and nearly making the semi finals despite some horrendous injuries. But, worst run of results for 104 years, we should have won the challenge cup (on the day, Hull were not that good) and we've been so boring (and the players don't look like they've enjoyed playing).
Sam Tomkins and Micky Mac could both be better with a full preseason (if Sam gets one) and we should have Ben Flower, Morgan, Manfredi and Jake Shorrocks back. But, the last four have all had injuries that have long lasting effects. Many players take more than a year to recover from such injuries or are never quite as good again.
As things stand the coach has said that we won't be making any major signings so we'll have continuity and we have lots of promising youngsters but is the squad good/deep enough especially given are assumptions about the fitness of several players? We will be as unlucky with injuries again?
What do we do about the 'Lockers situation' (he's unlikely to play as many games next season) and we sort out the kicking situation.
Personally I don't think that Lenagan will sack Waney or make any major signings. We have no divine right to win anything and I don't expect to. I've really enjoyed many seasons when we've not won anything in the past but not this season. Like many fans I have to ask myself will we be worth watching next year? Will I be excited, will I look forward to the games, will I just turn up like I always do anyway? The club is already advertising season tickets for next year and this is the first time in 26 years that I'm going to wait for the dust to settle for a few weeks before I make a final decision.
Enjoy the off season everyone, keep on posting but please let's all try to avoid upsetting each other. We all care about the club and we're all on the same side.
