Re: Signings?
It is early days though - aren't we strongly rumoured to have signed that good Leeds prop? If so I would expect that to be announced after their season finishes, plus, if Catalans get relegated that may affect our ability to offload Navarette and Tierney, or else may open up the possibility of signing, say, Greg Bird. Finally, we may scout for talent at the World Cup - bound to be some exciting South Pacific players emerging there.
Re: Signings?
It wont mater if we signed the dream team, as playing our current style of rugby we would still lose! and be boring to watch!

It is early days yes...(early bird catches the juiciest worm an all that), other clubs are getting in there early and don't seem to mind making it public. Isn't Rads over in Oz at the mo concentrating on promoting the game we have over there and interviewing past players....maybe spend a bit more time on getting our own domestic issues sorted first? We will leave it till the last minute AGAIN!

Yes there may be one or two "project players"!Exiled Wiganer wrote:It is early days though - aren't we strongly rumoured to have signed that good Leeds prop? Re: Signings?
i would assume that for us to make any significant signings that players would need to be released, and from reading previous threads we dont really have any 1st team regulars out of contract?
so the question is, who out of our 1st team squad would other teams want based on how they have performed this year
i would personally only say that Davies, Gildart and Marshall have performed up to / above expectations (given 2 were 4th and 5th choice wingers at start of the season) - the rest for me have either been injured, average or injured and average
i really cant see a long queue of clubs wanting to sign anyone based on this seasons form - reputation possibly but form nope, so there may be a big challenge for the club to be able to sign anyone new and keep us under the salary cap

Three out of a whole squad! But sadly, I can't disagree. And as you rightly say, it seriously limits our room for manoeuvre.the pieman wrote: i would personally only say that Davies, Gildart and Marshall have performed up to / above expectations

Re: Signings?
Signings? What about that young lad from Catalans - Tierney?
Seriously - I've never been a fan but it looks like his loan spell has done him the world of good. Safe under the high ball - strong in attack and sharp in scoring tries - lasted a punishing 80 minutes and consistent in defence. Even if we do let him go to Cats - I wish him well and I think he'll do nicely with them.
And we could do worse than take a look at Thibaut Margelet from Cats. He's a hard man to stop when tackled - a bit like Liam Farrell. Prop or loose-forward and he'll be 25 when next season starts. No real form before this season but looks like he could be one to watch.

Re: Signings?
now leigh have gone down we should look at that hampshire Kid i heard hes outstanding and us going to be a world beater.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.
