Had to buy it? You make it sound as if it was some sort of millstone to do so. Looking back over the history of the DW years at Orrell RUFC it is now clear DW bought Orrell and gave the ground to Wigan RL (offering Orrell RU a lease to play on it still). So it would have been an asset on the clubs books at the time IL bought the club. I really don't think it was something DW tried to dispose of and force IL to buy.
