It would have been much better to say nowt!!
Exactly. It's taking people for idiots and is disingenuous. When the club behaves in such a snide and sneaky was and deliberately misrepresents the facts it doesn't inspire much faith in their honesty about anything.

Has anyone who selected auto renew last year had any communication from the club about it? I did and haven't heard anything so was just wondering :conf:

I’ve not heard anything yet :(
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.

that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

This is what it says about Auto Renewal on the WW website

AUTO RENEWAL

MORE DETAILS

The Auto-Renewal scheme allows fans to secure their seat at the best price for 2018 and future years without having to go through the renewal process.

We will write to fans who signed up to the scheme in 2017 and those joining it for the first time a month before taking the payment at which point you’ll have the chance to opt out and cancel your Auto-Renewal .

However, if you’re happy then just complete and return your direct debit form sit back, relax and the money will be debited from your account and your seat renewed on the date stated – simple!

The Auto-Renewal scheme is open to all existing Season Ticket holders.

I got told it will be set up in a couple of days on Monday and you can only renew online.
It's still not available online and the cynic in me fears the worst.
I'll wait till weekend then ring again.
Don't hold your breath, sorry.

My wife got me my season ticket and paid by card......no direct debit form and she opted for the auto-renewal. Not heard a dickie bird from the club!!!! Do we have to contact them or does it (as it says) auto renew???? Can only see confusing mumbo jumbo on the website so no idea. And to be honest it looks like the club don't know either!!!!

Spoke to the ticket office earlier and having opted for and got the auto renewal last year asked if that was it and they would take this years renewal automatically. They said no, even though I did hand in the completed form last year to which they said there were no forms and then after my insistence that they had my form they replied that they had all been scrapped and that this years system would be up and running within the next 10 days and only available on line.
Parties and breweries come to mind when dealing with this lot time the Chairman took some action and got it sorted.

Wasn't sure whether I got told all the forms had gone awol but you've confirmed it.
It's a cynical attempt to raise ticket prices in my opinion!
You got told ten days, I got told a couple. As d would say, mmmmmmmm.

I think any retailer has to tell you they are going to take money off you even if you signed up for automatic renewal just to give you the chance to opt out.

I signed up for auto renew and regardless of my decision on season tickets my son would definitely be coming off as he has moved away with his job.
