I know Carney had a bad game on Saturday but so did a lot of others. Where was Gleeson? Price missing that high ball was just as bad. I have to go with Sculthorpe on this one. You don't become a bad player overnight. Give the lad a chance, you could see the frustration on his face. I think he will surprise a few people this Saturday.

based on what you sed i dont understand why he drops so many high balls. im 14 years old and play secndon row but hav recently been covering on the wing and havent once droped a high ball whilst under pressure. the defender has the upper hand. i just dont understand

He's played about 16 games all season, hes out of sync and he lets the ball bounce off his chest. He always used to have problems catching high balls when he first came to wigan, then got better. He just had an all round off day on saturday.

i wasnyt trying to be big headed its just he is a pro rugby player and catching a ball and turning your back isnt really difficult

OK then. Try and catch a ball with lots of big Kiwis running at you......when you havent really played all season.

he has played this season and i play against people big well over 6 ft he should catch the high balls.
