No surprise there then!!

Been talked about more than plenty on rl forums for some time. I get the feeling that no one from the club wants to be quoted for some reason, especially after the "are they or aren't they leaving" farce surrounding both MM and Gelling
I'm a better fan than you
Because I don't "Boo"!!!

Yes I bloody know transfer fees do not count on the salary cap for those illiterates that need it explaining to them because they assume everyone is as thick as they are

It is beginning to look like paper or more likely agent talk but and I’m not blaming the club really, this is the sort of story the club has to stamp on asap, far too much over the last few years nothing gets said with stories like this,it makes the club seem unprofessional in my opinion.

Not saying comment on every rumour but in a week that’s clearly unsettled fans comment on the possibility of another first team player possibly leaving.

Looking at this and the talk pre season, is this not the case of player wanting away, club ok with it. The player then cant find a club who will pay him the same money. So he comes back hoping the club will either pay part of contract to leave or come to agreements with other party on part payment of his contract. Club just carrys on. Now player knowing hes not getting a deal will leave and puts it out that hes happy to accept reduced terms to be back home?

Have we been unfortunate enough to have first refusal if he decides to come back to England?

This looks to me like we called his bluff. His family wants to move home and so he has to get a new club. Our response is perfect - we know you are going, but it's your choice to break your contract, so we won't have to pay you. Am very happy with this sequence of events so far. At this rate we won't have to top up a lower salary, and have all of his substantial salary to play with.

It is clear from the article that the only thing that has been agreed is that Frank wants to join them ,and they would like him to.No deal has been agreed or so he says.It ‘s very easy to casually say “he’s just sorting a few things out at Wigan”.Oh really! Maybe that’s what he would like to think. If Frank’s family are living over there it’s clear he means to join them soon, and so he should.Of course it’s not so simple. The man must be under huge pressure and we should bear that in mind.It also puts the club under pressure to sort it out.We do not know all the facts about the situation, and so perhaps we should leave it at that for now.

He came back before Christmas period for pre season, went home, then came back for the rest of pre season.

His wife didn’t come back straight away in previous seasons but came back for the start of them. Perhaps she’s staying in Oz until the Australian games are over??

Western Suburbs now saying that they respect the contract with Wigan and have backed out of the deal BUT they will be interested in signing him at the end of his term here.
