Pure speculation on my part TedWiganer Ted wrote:Is that knowledge or speculation, Fozz?

And I genuinely couldn't be bothered rewriting a team list out heh
Re: Friday's Team
No way will lockers play
He'll be weeks behind everyone else
The club will have no intention of playing him for the first few weeks - although he'll play a bit v hull no doubt.
Not that they'll tell us fans that.

No Budgie either?

Re: Friday's Team
He went off in the Leigh game but none of the injuries from that game were supposed to be serious... So, was that not the truth or are they just not pushing people to play against Salford and saving them for Aus?shaunedwardsfanclub wrote:No Budgie either?

O’Loughlin and Burgess doubtful for Warriors’ opener
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: O’Loughlin and Burgess doubtful for Warriors’ opener
So, if those two players aren’t fit for Friday, & Lockers hasn’t played a game since the World Cup, how/why have they been chosen in the Team to go to Australia?

It now looks like we are protecting players for next week. They need to remember its not a cup final, just a standard league match and a friendly.
If players get hurt against South Sydney it will show what a fiasco the Aussie trip is.

Re: Friday's Team
Friday's match will be really interesting to see how Waney shuffles the players during the game. It looks like Sam T will start at 1 but play at halfback for at least some of the game (he's included Morgan but not Jake Shorrocks)which is promising. I must admit though if any of the players are doubtful for the Hull game I wouldn't take them to Aus. The Hull and Warrington games are the important ones not the South Sydney game. If they're not fit to play Hull surely they'd be better avoiding all the travel to increase the chance of them playing at Warrington. Some of the 'fringe players' may benefit more from a trip to Aus for a friendly. The friendly should be used to try things/rest any injured players it's not a win at all costs match.
Re: Friday's Team
It does look like we're protecting at least Lockers for next week. Bateman was scheduled for playing in Aus at the time they decided to do his op so I think that was just his timeframe. Budgie, maybe a bit of protecting him as we aren't really sure how bad his injury at Leigh was, but we have depth at winger with Marshall at least. It has to be asked, are they protecting them for Aus, or for playing Hull? They will be one of our main rivals for a top 4 spot so it's more important and potentially more difficult to beat them, compared to Salford with all due respect to Salford. In that way, if holding partially injured players back for Hull is the way that's chosen I think it makes sense. I don't think they will play anyone in the friendly which follows whose not fit enough to play.First Try Tickle wrote:It now looks like we are protecting players for next week. Budgie got injured against Leigh, and for Hull KR they lost Danny Addy for the season in a friendly. So maybe all warm up games / friendlies are a fiasco. Not sure training is ideal either, because Salford lost Manu Vatuvei for half the year in training. And as for internationals, well we're missing Bateman because he got injured at the world cup. In contact sports like ours injuries can happen at any time in any type of environment sadly.
