Next Weeks Game!

Post by Martin Taylor »

So it all comes down to next week! Once more the Aussies stand in our way between success and failure. Do you think on last nights performance we can beat the Ausies, and should we stick with the same team format?

Whether we keep the same team depends on injuries.

I hope we don't play player who are half fit. Look what happened to Senior in the Challange cup final.

As long as we play the same tactics and get our half backs to take on the defence we'll have a good chance.

Not by choice mate, if i could get a job closer to the centre of the Universe (Wigan) i would. We can't all act and pick and choose our jobs. lol.

Has there been any news on the injuies to Wellens and Carney yet?

I think Carney just decided he would rest for the second half, put his feet up, and smoke a pipe with his glass of freshly squeezed juice by Philipino virgins. After all he is god, and the rugby league oracle. Not sure about Wellens.

Carney should be right - they can sort out small hamstring tears in a week. Sad to see a glimpse of what might have been at the JJB from the Irishman.

I think GB will win, and do so by enough to eliminate the Aussies... it's our best chance for ages - they have no Lockyer or Johns (or Kimmorley) and we showed last time out that we can turn their pack over (they badly miss Hindmarsh). And we are on a roll...

I like your enthusiasm, i just hope the confidence of destroying the Kiwis continues with the players to the KFC stadium, and we don't freeze like in last years final.

Without their star half backs and our superior pack we have a great chance.

I'm feeling a lot more confident now...the injuries to Johns, Lockyer, Hindmarsh, Wellens and Deacon are all good for us.
Hope Carney and Fielden are OK though.
