I'd definately have four props against the Aussies. If we pick three again you can bet your life they'll pick five (again).

You would play Higham at 7? Why do we have this idea that we have to play players out of their position. Higham is a hooker, in the same way that Sculthorpe is a loose forward and not a stand-off. I still don't understand what you have against Calderwood either? The guy is the best attacking winger in super league and his defence and positional play have vastly improved as well. What has Raynor really done this season?

Can't see the point in having all those four on the bench myself, only Morley could be described as an impact player, and IMO these are what we need to dominate the aussies.

Thackary - something of an impact player pal?

I would try to resist too much tinkering at this stage - bring calderwood in if we need him, but lets not make too many changes. The teams getting to play like a team now, the packs dominating and carney showed what we can do if given space.

Only fear is the Aussies will really turn it on now, it doesnt take a genuis to know the aussies can raise their game from the jjb encounter, and further proof is in last years final...nevertheless im confident - If cunningham can keep Budderis in his pocket and we can shut down their halfs to an extent we'll be alreite!

Come on boys!! :exc:

Or maybe read my post properly and see i'm talking about the players on the bench, before making comments?

Would Thackary make the same impact if he started? I think he's best when the game has settled down a bit.

You could say exactly the same about Morley though too. He went in to make the big impact when we played the Aussies two years ago. It didn't go quite to plan but had he stayed on the field it would have had the impact we needed.

I don't see any harm in playing Thackray from the off and bring Morley on when we need a kick. I still think we need to match them in numbers for props as we're going to tire if we only field 3 to their 5 again.
