Agreed....... stop the rot now....... just look how michael maguire transformed the team when he took over last time...... and we didn't have a fantastic squad at the time

Yes we did, they just didn’t know how to win. He brought in one player!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Time for a John Dorahay moment. That is the players tell Wane to shove it.

'Stop the rot now' We're 2nd in the league, think how the 10 teams below us are feeling...

let's be realistic, you can't get rid of Wane for losing 3 games on the run (not to mention the pay off that the club would have to give him).

Getting rid of S.Tomkins is also anti-productive, he's been arguably the best player for us so far this year and is also our 1st choice goal kicker. Also the 'Give Hamilin and Navarrete a game' bandwagon, they played last night and got trounced by Wakey's pack.

On a lighter note.. Tom Davies hasn't put a foot wrong all year, thought he did well last night.

Optimistic.

You can get rid of him for resigning and throwing the towel in which is basically what he has done. He's got no job to go to so is not leaving for positive reasons. He's just no longer interested in being Wigan coach. I didn't think his resignation mattered at first but now I am convinced the timing of it was all about him and he made it with absolute zero consideration of how it might affect the players and it looks like it's had a big effect on morale. If I am right and things do not improve quickly that is grounds for sacking now.

We will see if it has derailed the season over the next few games and if it has, his position is untenable. As to the cost of paying him off you have to weigh that up against the cost of keeping him on! Basically does IL wait until we are outside the top four or not?

Unless they give the club grounds to sack them it's much harder to get rid of players because if you pay them off it counts on the salary cap unlike the coach. The only thing you could do is not play them unless they give you grounds to sack them outright.

I think the solution would be a different coach who could pick the team up and might do something radical like play Sam in the halves. I also don't think there is a bandwagon re Hamlin and Navarrete. I for one don't understand how Navarette ended up with a three year deal. Went home on loan last season and had a handful of games this season in which he's done nothing much. Hamlin made an impact by not playing how Wane likes so I can see why people want him in the side but if so they are forgetting who is coach and how he will coach that out of him.
