Not quite true The assistant in question got a better offer from another SL club. If there was no money available he wouldn't have been interviewed. KR was part of the interview team.
So even though the club Ok'd Wane to get an attack coach, the person got a better offer from Wakefield. Sound like a money issue to me.
how? they might get more input than under Wane

Monaghan went away happy with the position offered, Wane was happy with the guy and told the club he wanted him. The club failed to strike a deal and Wakey came in and took him.

Wane was told it was down to money.
