Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Is the difference of opinion on whether Edwards would make a good successor "tiresome"?josie andrews wrote:Just because you hate Wane Dave is no need to go on about it all the time!

I didn't start this hero worship thread and if people start threads on on Wane you can expect a comment from me and others and you can also expect it probably won't be complementary from me unless he does something right (which does happen occasionally).
Just to forewarn you, if he doesn't play Lockers and Bateman tonight there will be another tiresome comment coming about that. If he does, he will get the thumbs up.
Re: SW.......From Pies to Bridies
All I can say is, I hope Wane's successor is more to your liking, because I don't think I can stand much more of your daily complaints (spread across two forums, so there's no escape!). It's honestly getting to the stage where it's putting me off even being here.
Everyone has a right to their point of view, I don't think anyone disputes that, but your relentless pessimism on every front, repeated day in, day out, is becoming a bit too much to bear.
At least meds is sometimes funny!

I wasn’t commenting on that, it is just continual, & not only you btw, posting about Wane & all the vitriol along with it.DaveO wrote:Is the difference of opinion on whether Edwards would make a good successor "tiresome"?josie andrews wrote:Just because you hate Wane Dave is no need to go on about it all the time!

You cannot deny, he has been the most successful coach for Wigan in the SL era.
So now he is leaving, why waste your time & energy disparaging him at any given moment. Just let it go ????

There's some right snowflakes on here, get a grip, Wane as taken us backwards and I am glad he's leaving

You read what you want to read by which I mean you are obviously totally ignoring anything positive I post. That is your problem not mine.moto748 wrote:All I can say is, I hope Wane's successor is more to your liking, because I don't think I can stand much more of your daily complaints (spread across two forums, so there's no escape!). It would also be a bit bloody weird if I adopted a different persona on two different forums and given I am not normally in a minority of one anyway you must be hanging on my every word to get so wound up about my posts compared to others who say the same thing. So I think you need to click the ignore button on rlfans for your sanity.
Re: SW.......From Pies to Bridies
I love stats like that. That is only true because in the SL era Wigan has underachieved. For a total of ten years in that era we have had Wane and Noble and we won a grand total of three major trophies under those coaches (GF & CC). Granted Wane won all three but given the SL era has been poor compared to Leeds and Saints records you are damning him with faint praise.josie andrews wrote:I wasn’t commenting on that, it is just continual, & not only you btw, posting about Wane & all the vitriol along with it.DaveO wrote:Is the difference of opinion on whether Edwards would make a good successor "tiresome"?josie andrews wrote:Just because you hate Wane Dave is no need to go on about it all the time!

I don't disparage him at every given moment. I only comment when he comes up for discussion which given he's the Wigan coach is, strangely enough, quite often. Like every week.So now he is leaving, why waste your time & energy disparaging him at any given moment. Just let it go ????
FYI I thought tonight he managed the game well with his selection and subs. He wasn't tempted to rest Lockers and Bateman and he didn't treat Lockers like he ought to be wrapped in cotton wool and actually brought him back on after subbing him.
Anyone would think he had realised he needed to win this game.
