Sinking ahip? We are having a change over of staff.

Leigh is a sinking ship
Salford is in real trouble

And people being asked to take extra responsibilities.. welcome to the working world.

Business always look to cost cut and one of the ways they do that is merge roll to reduce staffing and not pay the employee any extra.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Its all rather exciting I think though people have forgotten about the usual change when a new chap comes in.

It could be that we do have a new coach, but to announcing it now would undermine wane for the rest of the season.

It would be sensible to get someone in post making decisions about personel for next season and reviewing performance now, rather than wait until all the players have been signed by others at the end of the season. But to annouce that was happening would cause real problems for the existing staff.

It would have been far better to either make a clean break, or keep it all quiet until the end of the season and announce it all then.

Maybe, but the problem with that would have been, if things leaked out, as they have a habit of doing, the club would look really bad, and would rightly be criticised.

I would hope by now with contracts for for instance Tommy, the new man has a say in it, and I use Tommy just as a for instance, it is dragging on though

Is it a case of "be careful what you wish for - you might get it?

All those who've been wanting Wane to go, for years in some cases, are getting their wish. Guess who'll be complaining within half a season of his replacement starting?
So you're saying we should have kept Wane for another ex-number years rather than risk the possibility of some staff leaving??

Go back to watching Bramley or Batley or whoever you said you enjoy watching
You seem to know what I'm saying better than I do, wall of voodoo.

You're about as near as you were when you said I was a troll - remember?

See Cherry Pie's post if you want to understand my point, though I suspect you don't.
One week it's 'the club needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom', the next it's 'people might be leaving, what are the club playing at?'

Reading this forum is a hard slog these days.
If I replied to you in kind, I'd say "So youre saying that you're not a proper Wigan fan unless you agree that we're rubbish?"

This forum, as I understand it, is about people having opinions which occasionally may differ from yours. To resort to childish insults or misrepresentations whenever someone happens to disagree with you would reduce it to an echo chamber.

It isn’t the end of the world.
Be more worried if this was happening if we were bottom of the league and we were maybe getting points deducted for a salary breach????

By leaving others are controlling their own future not hoping things will be ok with the new coach, which they might not be. If the new coach says "goodbye" then people are in a panic as to their future,
and not in control.
Nothing that has happened, or rumoured to be, has surprised me one bit.
We have a high expense outfit that isn't winning trophies and doesn't look like they will any time soon.
We need a massive improvement and only change will bring this about.
Exactly. Most of us have been crying out for changes, so why not wait and see what these changes are before we start moaning. ??

Well if his replacement was rubbish I am sure we will all be complaining. No idea what that has to do with recognising Wane needs to go though. I'd hope a new coach who turned out rubbish would be sacked.

I doubt he would be. A definition of insanity is repeating the same thing and expecting a different outcome and given the length of time IL perisited with Noble and Wane's "no plan B" coaching (the pair of them were/are stuck in a tactical rut) we have looked pretty insane in two periods since IL took over.

I was only thinking the other day it was far more fun and the club was more successful when it had a reputation for sacking coaches.

I didn't agree with all of the sackings myself but how we were then, being quick to get rid compared to hanging on now, has proved to me keeping a coach past his sell by date does not work. The old move 'em on after three seasons adage seems to be about right.

IL seems to have a view it's only fair to give coaches a fair crack of the whip but I think it's obvious most fans take a different view. When the shine has worn off and things look stagnant the fans want an instant fix. Not another season in charge for the coach in the hope their "insanity" is cured.
