Re: Challenge Cup
RedVee is joyous tonight...
Despite our terrible Lam-Out season until July we have been in a worse position than them! Anyways... hopefully they will implode and we win another Championship!
Chokers!!

Completely forgot a couple of thousand for the 1895 cup game, have to admit I enjoyed that game more to be honestFirestarter wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 8:02 pmFour clubs though and still patheticCaboosegg wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 7:53 pmI expect there was quite a few neutrals as if two clubs could muster 63k between them the sport would be alrightfozzieskem wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 6:46 pm And so the upset came,as it does so often in sport well done Wire.
So I wonder what will happen now?
Will saints or wire implode and not win again or will they both be at old Trafford ?
And under 63,000 for the final it’s time to wake up and move it,Wembley will never get to 70,000 unless Leeds are playing, let alone filling it,no excuses this season with trains etc,two huge clubs and that’s all they can muster it’s a poor show, the cost now is stopping the neutral from going down to it
It needs to move anyway as after brexit people wont have as much spare cash.

Bottled it again, I hope we can get to the GF as I would fancy our chances against them.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Challenge Cup
We had a couple of weeks at the start of the season when they were all over it in SL but like everything was just a passing fad.

They were out coached today. Wire punished Roby, Thompson and Walmsley and it severely dented Saints attack. Roby looked like he needed oxygen at half-time, Holbrook should have given him a break.
What I found interesting today was the age of the Saints team. If that is their squad for next year they will have nine players over 30 years of age!

I'm a better fan than you
Because I don't "Boo"!!!
Yes I bloody know transfer fees do not count on the salary cap for those illiterates that need it explaining to them because they assume everyone is as thick as they are

Re: Challenge Cup
Not sure "out-coached". To have a second row play one of the half back positions because your main play-maker wasn't playing and doing enough defensively to win is embarrassing though. Obvious from the line-up how wire were going to play with BMM starting etc.shaunedwardsfanclub wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 11:44 pm They were out coached today. Compounded with some dreadful mistakes from a side told they just needed to turn up to win the treble, it now looks like they could only win the hub cap again as last seasons deficiencies came back out of the closet.
I noticed Roby struggling with the pace of the game. Not even sure if he was fit but he has had his best years now and if Smith is their future, then plenty of "go forward" from him but no defense, as that lad couldn't tackle a rice pudding

Re: Challenge Cup
Saw it on Facebook Josie which I’ll grant you is a dangerous thing to do without checking first ,the only place as it’s not listed in the papers is on wiki, again not very reliable but it has the attendance down as 62,717 which I’d tgat is the true number is rather sad and it’s time to take the blinkers off and look toward a smaller venue.josie andrews wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 10:35 pmWhere is the attendance listed Fozzie?fozzieskem wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 6:46 pm And so the upset came,as it does so often in sport well done Wire.
