Yeah I was 99% certain there was nothing in this but I figured if anyone would know about it, it would be some of the posters on here! I feel much more reassured after reading your responses and articles like this one (apologies for the carnage that is the Wigan Today website...)

One thing is for sure, he is a fantastic talent and great competitor. I am looking forward to seeing him next season.

Yeah that's what I meant - that they've not successfully replaced him this season and are on the lookout for 2020.
Not saying that's necessarily doing the rounds though re Hastings, but the NZW have had a terrible season and obviously not replaced Johnson as intended.

Maybe not much longer. Plenty of Sharks fans are pretty underwhelmed.

But as far as Wigan (and all SL clubs, come to that) are concerned, the bottom line seems to be,

from now on, if you sign a talented player, you'll have him for one season, max, before he trots off to the NRL.
