Listening on the radio today after the Latics ,Paul Cooke was asked about the new owners of the club .It appears it has new owners but it does not need clarification on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
Will this effect us in the long term??
Has Wigan Athletic and the DW stadium changed owners

Think there was some concern by the Latics owning HK company re financial losses. It has transferred wholly to the CEO of that company I believe. Was in WEP a while back.

They took over last season I think. They are International Entertainment Corporation, think that’s why we got a new big screen with live game replays.
We have another 25 year lease I think.

I hope this is helpful? 50 year lease from 1999, so 29 years left yet.

When the new owners took over we had to confirm that if we wanted another 25 years lease. The new owners saw that Wigan RL was part of their plans to generate income.josie andrews wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 10:35 am They took over last season I think.
