Wigan's 17 Warriors for Saturday ?

Post by 100% Warrior »

OK, as part of the build up to the great occasion which will take place on Saturday let's have a go at naming the 17 Warriors that Mike will send into battle.

My squad would be:

1. Radlinski
2. Dallas
14. Hodgson
18. Aspinwall
5. Carney (twitchin' like a rabbits nose !!)
15. O'Loughlin
20. Robinson
30. Pongia
9. Newton
10. Smith (should be named Man of Steel !!)
11. Cassidy
12. Tickle
13. Farrell

SUBS :

4. Johnson
23. Hock
16. Sculthorpe
8. O'Connor

I know I've dropped Mark Smith from the previous games squad but I feel this game is going to won in the forwards therefore I've drafted Scully into the squad.

Anyway, whoever plays for us on Saturday lets make some noise, get behind the team and roar them onto victory !! (that should quieten Stevo)

Have to say 100% Warrior ...

Agree with you 100%!!!!

Just hope Terry N can last 80 mins and that Mike's been rotating him so that he can give his all next week ... cos when he ticks so does the team ...

and we deffo need Scully ... just for the fear factor!!!! Having 4 props last time we played the bulls was clever ...even if Scully's impact was short and sweet!!

And if the bulls have the audacity to play Paul and Withers we deserve to trounce them ... how can you play in a final after months out??

There's only one man allowed to make an impact in his first match back - and he certainly did - and has got better and better with every game!!!!
Take a bow Mr Radlinski!!!!! ;0)

COME ON WIGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is scully fit again?

If he is i'd put him on the bench like you two, but if he isn't i'd play wild!

I'd go for:

Rads
Carney
Johnson
Hodgy
Dallas
Farrell
Robinson
Pongia
Newton
C.Smith
Tickle
Cassidy
Hock

Scully
Aspinwall
O'Connor
M.Smith

If Robbie Paul is playing on Saturday and we play O'Loughlin and Robinson together then we are going to get murdered in the half-backs! I think the extra experience of Farrell at stand-off will help Robinson and it also allows us to use more forwards than usual which we need against Bradford's big side!

Mark Smith adds an extra option and he can play and 6/7 as well as hooker so I've included him on the bench along with 2 props!

I think 100% Warrior's team looks good. I know Robinson has shown a lot of talent and creativity this season, but was it nerves on Friday that caused a few errors that we can ill afford against Bradford? Also, could we risk that again in the Big Game???
Oh well... wait and see....
I suppose though we don't have much option unless Lam is cured by a miracle and I don't see that happening!

i tend to agree the game will be won or lost in the forwards this however is a good thing for wigan as the manager was one of the most feared forwards in the game wigan have become more agresive under his leadership and the forwards will get so much help and advice from him i dont think the bulls will trample us again
dont let your victories go to your head or your failures go to your heart
