Sky Commentary AGAIN
Re: Sky Commentary AGAIN
John wells may as well wear his coote saints shirt next time he covers a saints game. Apparantly coote is the best full back in the league according to him. Sorry John but that's Bevan french.

Re: Sky Commentary AGAIN
Everyone needs to listen to Joe Mills and Bilko. Always do because although they want Wigan to win, they want the team to play well and they are not afraid to say things are bad when they are bad.
They also spot the things that fans spot. Last night it was French catching the ball and Kevin Nagano missing him in a blur as French twitched his hip like a toreador.
Also, did anyone else spot two Saints players tackling each other as French was on his way to score his try?

Coote is a great link player and reads the game well....... his defence isnt fantastic but his weakness his his lack of speed...... french is definately the better fullback by quite a way imo

Pre Hudds game.
I know it’s all about equal opportunities etc but he could hardly string a proper sentence together.
Referred to an old coach as bobbins and said “you know what I mean” every sentence.
Can't see Long being invited back in a hurry. His comments were too "technical" (box 3 for example). Commentators have to be aware of mixed audience, not just those with grade 3 coaching badges. And his delivery too garbled, losing his way at times. In any case, he never sticks at owt for more than 6 months!
Re Jon Wells - I think he's brilliant. His role is to explain the game to the uninitiated, and seasoned supporters. His comments on Coote were explaining his organisational skills and influence on the team. I think this is a fair point, something not everyone notices, and an area where Coote excels. French's skills are more visible, and Wells praised him too. I didn't hear him say one was better than the other.

Was it just me or has Sean Long got a perfect face for Halloween? Or a mad axeman?

I don’t like commentators who come on using the nicknames of their mates like we are all in the inner circle - it’s not professional and sounds stupid
John wilkin is probably the best rugby league pundit in my opinion sky need to get him on the team proper

Sounds stupid when fans do it on here and other places as well, IE calling Bateman Batty, Surely his nickname would be Batey seeing as there is only one t in his nameWigan_forever1985 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 4:14 pm I don’t like commentators who come on using the nicknames of their mates like we are all in the inner circle - it’s not professional and sounds stupid

Re: Sky Commentary AGAIN
I do listen to the commentary off the Wigan website, once I’ve got the timing synchronised its far better. Unfortunately when I watch the game again it’s the Sky idiots or silence. To be honest I think I prefer silence.
