Been stealing a living hasn’t he. Surely he’s had options to leave and progress his career? Wonder why he’s opted to stay so long? Can’t have been on the best contract because he never really looked like he was going to make it as a first team regular.CheshireWarrior wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 8:08 pm Surprised Shorrocks has lasted so long. Fair to say neither would be guaranteed 21 squad selections never mind starting 17.

We have to cut the playing squad and players who are never going to be of a standard expected at Wigan have to go, shame but this is a business.
On that note, can we not get shut of George Burgess, surely some team wants a one legged player

I may be wrong but the reintroduction of the reserves may have caused a number of clubs to keep hold of fringe players who could have moved on. Warrington took on a number of such players just for the reserves.widdenoldboy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 12:05 am Shame, both have had good games for us but we can't keep them all (it would be wrong to anyway).

Hopefully when the economy recovers, whenever that will be, a reserve team can be introduced again.Levrier wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 2:52 pmI may be wrong but the reintroduction of the reserves may have caused a number of clubs to keep hold of fringe players who could have moved on. A couple of good signings for Newcastle. Neither will let them down. It is beginning to look like they will be renaming part of Newcastle Little Wigan though.
