Just been told Wigan trying to sign him immediately.

Although he isn't required now and doesn't solve any problems at FB, Wing, Centre, if getting him now is key to securing him from 2022 onwards then we should go for it.

I do worry about a Smith and Williams partnership though. Who is going to control games, manage games, have the kicking game we need etc.

I honestly think we are lacking a Matty Smith type player. The Matty Smith we had at Wigan would be an excellent partner for Hastings, H Smith or Williams.

I don't want him back at all but if he is to come back to Wigan then I'd rather see him come immediately rather than go to a lower club for rest of the season and risk him getting injured.

There are a lot of if buts and maybe's, but I genuinely believe Harry Smith can be that player.

I’m surprised George has acted the way he has in refusing to train and withdrawing himself from the squad. If he does come back to us I hope he doesn’t behave this way if things don’t go his way.

We don't need George this season, he just makes an unbalanced back line selection problem even worse and probably prevents the development of a long term wigan half back option. If we want him for next year, then fine, but this season he doesn't fit.
