Canberra have let George Williams go and paid him 100 thousand pound for 2 months wages he cannot sign for any other NRL club which is part of the agreement so looks like he will be heading home once he as finished is holiday on the gold Coast that's on the Canberra news this morning
Re: Williams as it stands.
he isn't on the gold coast, he was in Canberra this morning for a meeting, hence I knew it was being resolved.

If he signs the agreed contract. nothing is done till its signed. But I was told he is signing upon his release and has gave Wigan his word. 99% sure its on. I was also told that would be within hours of his Canberra release being finalised.

Hope your right Dan, seems to be quite a few journos edging on him being Wire bound. Like you say hope he signs up. It means we should have settled halves for next few years to build around.
Re: Williams as it stands.
I haven't seen any say that recently? Even shaw said “Home is where the heart is for George Williams” at the end of his last article, after saying “Wigan have more than a first refusal”
Dont forget he is briefed directly from the club. We all know about Warringtons interest, so I'm not surprised they are reporting on it to be honest. but as I said a couple of weeks ago, club seem to be keeping their cards closer to their chest at the moment so I doubt they’d brief anything other than “we would like him, we will talk to him”
