I also liked his comments on how he appreciated he had underperformed this season and has got to put it right for the fans of wigan…….. not a lot of players like to admit that they have underperformed

Probably because he and the previous holder shouldn't be playing 80 minutes anymore as neither are good enough. Interchange with one another and allow for a more dominant character to hold the role

I can’t recall if they have or not but he shouldn’t be. Before his injury he just looked a clueless as the rest of them at times and didn’t appear to be offering much leadership trying to sort things out on the pitch. Of course the club would have to in effect take the captaincy away from him to give it to someone else and it’s too nice to do that.
