Tommy has had 3 decent games this season after a nitemare last season and gets praise…… harry is being slated off the opinions of a commentator, who, spends more time telling you his thoughts than what’s actually happening in the game

Wasn't Hanky their kicker? And one drop goal changed our points total in the league by 2 points...

I thought Hankinson was the missing piece last season for this “kicking” ability.

How about we give a 22 year old credit for playing with a busted shoulder and trying to carry us when Tommy was out rather than criticise every minute of his game?

Sport. It’s a funny old game.

Nobody was talking about 'papering over cracks' before this game.

One poor game (which we won), and we need to re-evaluate our whole season? Over-reaction, much?

You’ve mis read my comment Moto.

In my opinion those first 3 games have papered over cracks which are still there from last season, we make a couple of changes and suddenly the lads who come in aren’t good enough and shouldn’t be “near the team”

We don’t need to re evaluate anything we just need to remember this is a squad game and if a couple of fresher lads come in and we don’t perform as team it’s not all on the lads who haven’t appeared yet.

Far too many knee jerk reactions

We can agree on that at least.

Player has a poor game, and he should be written off for the season? This is schoolboy stuff.

Likewise a couple of good games don't prove you're the bee's knees.

I get that fans don't want to hear people slating Wigans player (Smith). But how do you keep the faith with players who keep making mistakes at key times? 4 errors in 1 game from an half back is shocking. Yes bad shoulder, yes first game back and yes he's young (ish). But some people will still be saying this when he turns 30.

People have a right to an opinion that the lad just isn't good enough for Wigan and never has been really. Joe mellor was better than Smith and we moved him on quickly. I'd even say Jake Shorrocks was better when he played an all.
