Re: DISGRACEFUL
The forwards never made a yard last season and this season there's no change, small players getting dominated. At least next week we won't have Ellis starting.

Re: DISGRACEFUL
I think we have improved from last year. I am not 100% confident that we won’t collapse, but I doubt it. Overall so far we have been more attractive and our props make better ground. Last year we were completely blown away in every aspect of the game, whereas here we were the authors of our own downfall to a much greater extent.
I think we will have better days and nights. If we can get French fit again, and move Tommy to 9 we can be far more dangerous.
Time for Peet and co to earn their corn, but they have money in the bank for mine.

I'm not being unfairn to Catalan, I like catalan I consider them my second team but they did nothing special tonight which makes it worse for us.fozzieskem wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 7:24 pmI feel you're being very unfair catalan are a very good side, one that for my money ey be there or there abouts with Saints at GF time because they are the 2 best teams in the comp.Caboosegg wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 7:20 pmReminds me of Wakefield before Smith took over, no handling skills.
Expected a response to last week but we obviously haven't had one.
I know it sounds bad but I'm tempted to give the Derby a miss I don't my day/evening ruining, if we can't even stay in a game with Catalan who have done nothing special.
I wouldn't have had a jolly up in France for the last couple of weeks nothing like being grounded after a poor performance by coming home but that's just me.

These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I think that's fair mate, the side is too "samey" and some hard choices are going to have to be made but Peet as you say has changed things it will go tats up like tonight but 3 years of crap that was served up by Lam isn't going to be fixed in a few weeks it will take timeExiled Wiganer wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 7:34 pm I think we have improved from last year. Re: DISGRACEFUL
Proves our forwards not good enough .When its bad weather we cant get off our own line. Too many mistakes and penalties Cats had a much better game than us not many mistakes wise.
Re: DISGRACEFUL
Cats made very few errors in difficult conditions, and have two excellent kickers. Plus ST out the back. They'll beat most teams. But not this easily.
Re: DISGRACEFUL
PIEMAN. ?? I wonder why? In this generation of nothing but misery ( Brexit ,Corvid & now the war) it is in the inspiration of the team these people support to show a fighting and talented spirit. So i think that your attack on these people who can ill-afford the gate money when they criticise the performances of this Wigan team.
Yet another 'over hyped build up to the pre-season expectations. GET A GRIP!

Re: DISGRACEFUL
Utter garbage, very poor attitude and application, I wonder if Peet will drop players like he did last week when we won
Re: DISGRACEFUL
Two poor performances in a row and Cats didn’t get out of second gear and didn’t need to.
As someone else said this is where Peet earns his crust. Last season we’d play like that and the week after try the exact same thing again same players.
He’s got a few more options this year and he needs to use them.
It’s going to be interesting to see what he does. Last season I don’t think anyone involved could see the wood from the trees. Same mistakes week in week last year out so now Peet has to show he’s not as blinkered to the issues as Lam was.
However there is not a lot he can do about the quality of some players in certain positions who just aren’t good enough. This goes back to recruitment, retention and development again and Radlinski is still the wrong man for that job and seems to live in a parallel universe when it comes to how good some players are.
