I'm not saying it wasn't the plan, its just odd to have Field in the stands not on the bench in case of injury. I guess we were happy to just play with a reduced rotation or 12 if need be. I suppose that's unlikely though. I do wonder why the doctor said he was too ill to continue.
no point giving a player a rest and not rest him, get changed your job is done was probably the thought, maybe if the scoreline was different it wouldnt have been that way, definitely an eye on the saints game
fair enough. no thoughts on the docs comments? he just go the wrong end of the stick?

Wouldn't be the first time.

Must agree that it seemed an odd thing to sub him unless he was injured/ ill but the point Pedro made about having Halsall on the bench, makes sense.

He missed the Riversiders meeting tonight!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Can't it be both? Maybe the plan always was to sub him, with Halsall on the bench, but he did feel poorly?
