Bar that mad 15 minutes our defence was much better than on GF, line speed was improved and we focussed on getting Walmsley, Knowles, Makinson and Percival on their backs to legally slow the PTB. On the Ref - odd that he didnt' go upstairs for the 2nd try, I think Makinson was onside but Welsby/Hurrell were in front an interfering with play.
On Smith/Smithies - massive improvement this year but they looked class v the Aussie youth team a few years back, they are getting closer to fulfilling that potential.

The funny thing is it is often said 'saints make their own luck' through hard work as they often get to the loose ball first off attacking kicks.
When we pick up a dropped p[ass we we're just lucky
Faz put Lomax under a lot of pressure when he received the ball causing the poor pass in the 1st place. Marshall was pushing up and was in that position because of hard work and not luck - and it wasn't as though he had to drop over the line. It still needed a bit of scoring.
