For me, the question isn't around resting players, the question is, if we didn't have a challenge cup final next weekend, would we have lost two consecutive games?

Its not exactly a shock is it? Regardless of player rotation. The whole mentality, focus and week's preparation is going to be entirely different.

In short, we win next week, everyone's a winner!

We should of rested some last week and some today, not all at once unless their carrying a knock.
It might not of made a difference but who knows now.
Let’s just hope it hasn’t damaged the confidence going into the final
