SL only gets players with off the pitch issues or those looking to get game time to push back into an NRL team.

your joking right?
No, I'm not joking, I'm not saying he doesn't spend money but when was the last time he spent big money on a superstar player, Majority of signings have been project, NRL rejects or has-beens

I'm curious why he has been picked by 3 different coaching set ups

People surely can't believe that IL would risk silverware by forcing them to pick him?
Fact check

It is well documented the Wigan coaches dont have final say on recruitment - Radlinkski stated he and IL deal with that in the main as coaches could change so even if a coach wanted to go a different way they may not have been allowed to bring someone in

There has been no senior alternative to Powell during all 3 coaches stay once Mickey Mac left

Wane put 5 (at least) hookers ahead of him for England - proving that once other options are available to a coach who has coached him more than anyone else they were taken

If we signed a super star and blew loads of our cap space and filled the squad with academy players / lower quality players you’d then complain about promoting too much youth and signing sub standard super league players.

Good point, that is true.

Only £150k would count on the cap, but you need the money available at the club to spend £400-£500k a year on the actual player...
