Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Watson needs to look at his own team rather than criticising everyone else.
Not the one where Hill had control of Myler then laughing boy Myler decides for whatever reason to try and walk up Hills body?

Leeds can beat anyone on the form they’re in at the moment but truth is they can also ship as many points on this form too..a wild card for me.Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 10:45 pmI didn’t see anything tonight to worry me, a good team would have beaten them easy.widdenoldboy wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 10:34 pm King on this display, Hmm.

Re: Leeds vHuddersfield
The incident where Myler lifted his legs to falsely give the impression of a spear tackle by Hill was done previously in the Wigan game.
Myler was running the ball away from his 10 mtr line when tackled by Bevan French. He lifted his legs in the air and Liam Moore penalised Bevan for a spear/tip tackle. Leeds scored from the subsequent set.
The dis comm never mentioned Bevan as it was clearly not a dangerous tackle yet the referee enabled Leeds in their win. Liam Moore was conned just as much as Jack Smith was last night.
What is clear now from these two incidents where a referee is likely to dismiss a player either for 10 mins or the rest of the game he needs to consult the VR for clarification. The VR doesn't have a role to play unless he is asked. Due to the current attitude of some players the referees need to improve their procedures to counter the ever more cases of dishonesty by players.

Re: Leeds vHuddersfield
Just seen Watson mention someone will get seriously hurt trying to win a penalty like Myler.
There’s no incentive to change if this play-acting isn’t penalised. Unfortunately it may take a serious injury for things to change.
Myler should have seen yellow for being an idiot and the Greenwood yellow was just ridiculous. Greenwood was literally just kneeling on the ground near a tackle and got 10 minutes.
I just hope a match in the play-offs isn’t decided on a decision like this. I hope the referee is sat down and told what to rectify from last night, it’s a tough job but many super league refs could and should be doing better imo.
On the match though, Huddersfield should have won last night, they just didn’t have a cutting edge when it mattered, Russell’s kicking proved the difference. Leeds look like they could do some damage in the play offs, but still beatable and we should beat them if we face them.
