Agree, Nsemba will be the next to come through in the second row position, I expect he will get a 1st team squad number for 2023.noncastrato wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 9:58 am Smithies is our loose forward. The driving force behind the team. Don't see him as a second rower anymore

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

There's a reason why he's one of the faces of the new kit.josie andrews wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 11:58 amI agreeNo straw damn us wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 11:30 amAgree, Nsemba will be the next to come through in the second row position, I expect he will get a 1st team squad number for 2023.noncastrato wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 9:58 am Smithies is our loose forward. Thompson in the run in for new captaincy at the dogs
Re: “Surprise Signing”
Would love us to sign Tanginoa off Wakefield. With Isa or Mago going the other way.

Over the weekend there were suggestions Tom Burgess might be open to a move to Super League.
That would be a "Surprise Signing"!

I don’t think that was for 2023 though.Wiganer Ted wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 7:47 pm Over the weekend there were suggestions Tom Burgess might be open to a move to Super League.

Yeah going off the quotes he was on about a good few years down the line. Said maybe one day he'd play Super League for Leeds (boyhood team) or Catalan maybe.Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 9:42 pmI don’t think that was for 2023 though.Wiganer Ted wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 7:47 pm Over the weekend there were suggestions Tom Burgess might be open to a move to Super League.

Wonder if the latest rumour of massive news coming out of Wigan is related to this at allDan2266 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 1:52 am Just been told in the past few minutes that “Wigan are going all guns blazing for a surprise signing, BIG name”
Has anyone heard any rumours of big names? All I can think is Luke Thompson.
This has supposedly came from a Wigan player who knows the player we are trying to sign but he would not give a name. The person who told me was told 2nd hand as it is so Im not too sure what to make of it as Ive heard nothing from my usual places.

Re: “Surprise Signing”
You'd imagine a signing is involved. No shirt numbers or names have been issued so far as we are told the squad isn't complete. Which is suggesting a signing yet to arrive.
Bateman is going to Wests and they've not announced his signing although Hastings has left. Perhaps they've not announced it due to Wigan asking them not to until his replacement signing is revealed.
All good stuff.
