I notice that links to the original "outstanding signing by Wigan" have now gone from the internet

Re: “Surprise Signing”
Powell got moved from 7 to 9 as he wasn’t good enough and was too slow and now you want to start using him again in a position he hasn’t played for 9 years?
Covering 13? He’s never played there at all in his amateur or professional career apart from a couple of 10 minute spells.
This is professional rugby and we are aiming to be the best. We cannot just move players around as we fancy. It doesn’t work like that.

There’s people who think Powell was this exciting 9 in his amateur days. There’s a reason he was picked up late and it wasn’t his abilitynathan_rugby wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 11:19 amPowell got moved from 7 to 9 as he wasn’t good enough and was too slow and now you want to start using him again in a position he hasn’t played for 9 years?

Re: “Surprise Signing”
Probably our needs in order are
1. Aggressive Prop - we don't have one
2. Hard running 2nd row (likely losing Batman now, KPP next season and Faz injured)
3. Half back cover
Pryce would more than solve 3 but cause issues elsewhere, I'd be OK if we got him but not bowled over.
Hopefully Nsemba can step up in the 2nd row but its a big ask, IIRC he is a year younger than the other Academy lads?
Get Thompson, Burgess or JWH and we solve 1 and it would be a big RL story.

Re: “Surprise Signing”
Does anyone have any idea when this big announcement is supposed to take place?
Re: “Surprise Signing”
Haven't got a clue, has anyone got any info relating to it? Or are we all just guessing going off the back of a comment on a podcast? I genuinely have no idea what so ever what it is/if there even is one
