Owen Farrell
Re: Owen Farrell
Absolutely nothing in this whatsoever.
The entire Farrell family use Fairhurst Accountants in Wigan for all their business/investment management.
Owen has recently had a house built down South for himself & his family. He also has a contract at Saracens until at least the end of season 23/24.
Andy recently signed a contract extension with Ireland so won’t be taking over from Eddie Jones after the RWC next year.
It was only last week on an England Rugby podcast that he was speaking about League & saying how different the sports are these days from when he used to play as a kid & how difficult it is to swap codes.
Complete non-starter.

Re: Owen Farrell
Ive heard he wants to retire at Wigan, id expect any potential move to be at least 2 years off…..
I read that the address in Wigan is the home of a wealth management company so theres nothing in it on that basis.

Owen would make a great coach when he retires from playing if he decides that's what he's like to do. I like the idea of him switching back to league for his coaching career. Unlikely but more likely than him ever playing league again.

Luther Burrell and Wire written all over it....too old, too risky and too much money involved!

No I disagree. He's played the game at youth level and knows the rules/tactics.CheshireWarrior wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 7:17 pm Luther Burrell and Wire written all over it....too old, too risky and too much money involved!
If he did come, it would be as a cameo in a couple of years. He could put "bums on seats" as it were.
The biggest issue would be if he was/could be fit enough to justify a spot.

Agreed, the game has changed so much it’d end up being a waste of time and money.CheshireWarrior wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 7:17 pm Luther Burrell and Wire written all over it....too old, too risky and too much money involved!

Re: Owen Farrell
England have just sacked EJ.
Given a new coach may want to bring in a new captain, it could be the end of Owen's England career.
If that were to be the case............

Depends if the new coach is his dad.

His dad is contracted to Ireland until 2027
