Poor performance with ball in hand. Should have taken the two when Miski tackled high. And the penalty at the end would have taken game into golden point.

not the end of the world, but we need a 6 back soon. All efforts I sense concentrating on Challenge Cup in the near future. Encouraging sign was Thornley. Can't remember how long Ellis is out for, but another prop would be good. Mago did little wrong tonight.

Can we stop with Shorrocks at stand off now Hampshire is fit. He just isn’t good enough with the ball and slows everything down. I can’t understand what the hell we were trying to do at the end when Trueman got sin binned. We had a man extra, play to the outside rather than a terrible cut out ball in the middle. Hull were good, much better than there recent showings, but we were awful and lost that game due to stupid play.

Disagree that shorrocks was good tonight. He has been good last few games but tonight was not his night by a long way. Not his fault but there was little creativity for us and shows the deficiencies we have at 6. Running sideways most of the night. Suck it up and come out fighting next time

Thaler was awful. Two potential tries denied by holding down on French and the one on Shorrocks at the end. They should have been down to 12 men for the last 10 mins. Starting the set again after holding down French is no use when Miski could have scooted from dummy half when the Hull defence was nowhere to be seen.

Showed up Shorrocks frailties as a stand off. Time to get Rocky in the team despite the previous good efforts of Shorrocks.

Last year we’d of fallen apart in those conditions . We obviously lost but I’m still taking the positives with us making yards and looking good in attack. Bad condition didn’t help those final passes. Hill took some good carries. Onwards and upwards.

Just minor criticisms but with hindsight its easy - Nsemba should have had more time on the pitch, Shorrocks get himself isolated too often, poor options taken at times.

Credit Hull with a determined effort, rain, cold, Thaler...not our night, learn and move on.
