Re: Wigan vs Saints match thread
Its very concerning because if I was asked what we need for 2023 last season, I would have said two centres as priority and with Jake Wardle and Toby King we have recruited well.
With Lee Briers departed and presuming Shaun Wane isn't the backseat driver I thought he might be, how much faith can we retain in Matty Peet?
I never considered him as a cheap option, but I did always question the fact he never had a first grade job or like Michael Maguire, spent seasons under a proven NRL head coach.
In all honesty, it's not just from tonight or Catalans, but Leeds at the DW second half was unbelievable!

We are crying out for an experienced half.
Trent Barrett, Brett Finch, Matty Smith…
You cannot really on youth, project players and flair players for a whole season.
Experience, knowledge and game management can win games, sadly never by us.

I thought Athletic were a shambles, but both teams / clubs are in an absolute mess

This is now embarrassing, we’ve known all season we’re papering over the cracks in the forwards, but it’s shambolic now

Pete and our coaching staff out of their depth.

Bevan french isn’t a half in a month of Sundays he just plays like he’s playing 7’s
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
Re: Wigan vs Saints match thread
French should never be allowed to kick the ball again.

Completely agree.
Rads and IL need to take the blame for all this, not all good players make good coaches or staff. It’s like their trying to do everything on the cheap.
Peet is looking out of his depth with the back room staff he has got, no plan B.
Re: Wigan vs Saints match thread
Just sums up how clueless the coaching staff are, when they just keep trying different players at stand-off. We looked more settled with Cust there
