Kris Radlinski told members at the Riversiders meeting last night, that although the rumors were going around for a while, the deal was only finalized last evening at 6pm, just before my conversation with him.CherryB wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2023 10:57 am This is a huge gamble on a player who has had an awful injury record for the last three years, and still not looking great. Add to that his questionable attitude, and being on a low having failed in the NRL, this could be a massive problem for us over the next 4 years. What he has shown is that he will happily sit on the bench and take his wages even if he is crocked. This seems like a wing and a prayer signing, to make a statement rather than a well thought out move. We aren't in the 80s now when we could sign anyone we wanted, this is going to blow a hole in our salary cap for 4 years and may derail all of the good work that has been done recently.
He also mentioned that when he went to Australia to interview Luke, that he was surprised by what he had to say & the questions he asked. He said usually the first thing a player asks about is the money, but Luke started asking about the facilities at Robin Park, the staff etc long before they discussed money.
He had his final medical yesterday also before he began making his way back to England.
Let’s just hope that his injuries are behind him & he gets a good & full pre season under his belt
He also spoke about Tiaki Chan, who he said would become a fans favourite
