There isn't really a specific timeline mentioned it doesn't say "Turned down this week" just says that we are one of several Super League clubs who looked into bringing him back. Could it be we explored signing him in say June before we had decided to extend Miski's deal and Grace's one year deal at Racing was expiring and due to his injury issues his Union future was looking to be in jeopardy ? That would make sense
