Saw a rumour on another site that the injury Abbas picked up in the final is a serious one and he'll miss the start of next season. Can anybody confirm or deny? Would be a shame after such a great season but I suppose we do have cover with Douglas/Eckersley.

Suppose it depends how bad it is & if, it was done in the first half as stated, he could have made it considerably worse with carrying on playing.

If it’s solely meniscus it won’t be anywhere near 6 month mark.

If it is that time period it would indicate something different or additional.

Fingers crossed just the meniscus.
