I did put this on before, but it seems to have disappeared
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Just had a look at the ticketing site and it looks like it's already a near sell out.josie andrews wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 11:02 am25,133.

Just hope this game doesn't end up defining our season, as it did in 2017, when we were left with a fantastic win but also, loads of injuries.

Looks like a couple blocks have been added in the North Stand, in each corner, by the looks of the map

Wigan Warriors: RL Commercial chief ‘blown away’ by World Club Challenge ticket sales, hints at taking spectacle overseas in 2025
RL Commercial Director Rhodri Jones says he’s ‘blown away’ by Wigan Warriors’ World Club Challenge ticket sales and admitted taking the showpiece to Las Vegas in years to come is something they’re more than interested in.
In their latest sales update, Wigan announced earlier this week that the 22,000 mark had been surpassed for their showdown with NRL kings Penrith Panthers at the DW Stadium on February 24.
Over a month before the game, sales have already gone beyond the attendance from the last time the Warriors were involved in a World Club Challenge, losing out on home soil to Sydney Roosters in 2019 in front of 21,331.

Why do the effing RFL have to keep getting involved with taking these games away from the majority of fans just so they can have a free jolly?josie andrews wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 12:59 pm Wigan Warriors: RL Commercial chief ‘blown away’ by World Club Challenge ticket sales, hints at taking spectacle overseas in 2025

It’s not going to make Yanks buy into our sport any more than when Toronto were in SL!

I understand that Mike, but I think the Americans are a lot different from the Canadians. Are there still leagues in either place?Mike wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 5:11 pmRegularly getting around 10K Toronto, before they even got to SL.josie andrews wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 1:02 pmWhy do the effing RFL have to keep getting involved with taking these games away from the majority of fans just so they can have a free jolly?josie andrews wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 12:59 pm Wigan Warriors: RL Commercial chief ‘blown away’ by World Club Challenge ticket sales, hints at taking spectacle overseas in 2025

The RFL/SL sort of killed it dead. There are still some leagues but way smaller ambition and no investment. It was a crazy way to drive investment out of the game IMO.josie andrews wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 5:18 pmI understand that Mike, but I think the Americans are a lot different from the Canadians.
