That would be the line up I would go with.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Peet will put Walters in the centre though.
No no no he’s not a centre whereas Eckersley is & think he can kick a goal as well 🤔🤔

Are you hedging your bets that we get reduced to 12 again 😂 .

I don’t see them beating us. We only loose this game if we don’t have the right attitude defensively.
😂😂 I’m a dozy beggar I put Thompson in at 8 deleted it then forgot to put Thompson back in 🥴🥀

I feel that Peet will go with Byrne to start with Thompson and Mago, Havard, Leeming and Walters on the bench. Eckersley at centre is an exciting prospect, his speed could cause Toby King and Drinkwater massive issues (if they defend on his side!).

Discipline is key on Saturday, if we maintain it, we will win the game I feel pretty comfortably. If we invited them into the game in the first 20, I'll fear the worst.

Controlling Dufty and stopping his quick play the ball for the last tackle is key. Wire always give it to him on the 5th tackle to get a quick ptb, with Williams and Drinkwater kicking off the back of it. Our forwards should have a big advantage on theirs, particularly our bench.

Walters will be in the 17, it is a straight choice between the other three.

Definitely start with eckersley as walters is on the bench in case. The other dilemma is cooper or hill over byrne? Ide probably go hill as i dont think coops is 100% just yet.So does anyone know how the marshy injury is? I hope hes 100% if we plan on playing him

He should go with eckersley but I have a feeling he will make a daft decision and go with either walters/faz or Nsemba. Also crazy if you think Bryne won’t be in the team, peet rates him. I’d leave him out for cooper or hill but it’ll never happen.

My view that the only toss-up is Cooper/Hill. And I'd expect MP to go with Cooper, if fit. I'd be surprised if Eckersley was not named in the centres. Still, a strong side, and should be plenty good enough to get the job done.

Eckersley has to be centre. No other option makes sense and surely Peet has learnt from one of his very few mistakes of holding back some of the younger players.

Walters on the bench as we have 2 props who can play big mins and Ellis can move there swapping for O'Neil. Gives us the ability to have more mobility and strike options - especially now Dupree isn't available.

The only real decision to make is the last bench prop: Bryne, Hill, Cooper. I do believe Bryne has played himself out of the squad in his last involvements. He's not played many minutes and what he has he's been shown up in defence with his lateral movement against Wire - which would be exposed again, and we know he has problems with bending his back in the tackle which we just can't risk in this game.

If Coops is fit I think he'll get the nod, if not then Hill.

Field,
Miski, Eckersley, Wardle, Marshall,
French, Smith,
Havard, O'Neil, Thompson,
Farrell, Nsemba,
Ellis.

Cooper, Mago, Leeming Walters.

Pace and power all over the place. I reckon MP will go with Eckersley at centre with Mike Cooper off the bench replacing Dupree. Walters off the bench as he can play prop or 2nd row if/when required.
That is the team I am hoping for, with Byrne nowhere near getting onto to the field and then being sent off.
I think Cooper's experience edges it over Hill, who isn't as mobile.
