Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Disciplinary
That’s what high thought! Dangerous tackle wasn’t it supposed to be?
And think the club have got to appeal if any ban is given!

Re: Disciplinary
The ref said Brad lifted him above the horizontal, perhaps that's what they mean? The phrase high tackle is perhaps not what should have been written.
Trouble is Brad didn't put in any part of the tackle that lifted his opponent. His legs partly went above the horizontal because of the power Brad put into the tackle. Both of Brad's arms were around the man's body. At no part did Brad's arms go into any lifting motion.
This is just from a newspaper article.
The judgement of the disciplinary will be interesting.

Call me an old sceptic if you like but 4 points clear and a game in hand, I think they’ll find something
Re: Disciplinary
Ah right is that what he got binned for well if that’s the case it was marginal from what was a big hit so for me in todays game a sin bin was probably the right call but nothing else for me at least.Wiganer Ted wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:04 am The ref said Brad lifted him above the horizontal, perhaps that's what they mean? Did see anything wrong with it on the night. ONeil didn't lift him over the horizontal and controlled the tackle.fozzie58 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 12:35 pmAh right is that what he got binned for well if that’s the case it was marginal from what was a big hit so for me in todays game a sin bin was probably the right call but nothing else for me at least.Wiganer Ted wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:04 am The ref said Brad lifted him above the horizontal, perhaps that's what they mean? If someone flailing their legs in a tackle can class as turning it into a tip then we are in trouble as a game.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Re: Disciplinary
Looking back on the tackle in question, the Leigh player did land on the base of his neck/top of his shoulder.
Clearly no intent but it's 50/50 for me.
