Super League 2025 fixture schedule as opening day and World Club Challenge dates emerge

Post by josie andrews »

Some key dates in the 2025 calendar have now been confirmed after confirmation of Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves' trip to Vegas.

Details regarding the 2025 Super League season have come to light following confirmation of the showdown between Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves in Las Vegas. The two clubs will head to Sin City on Sunday, March 1st, as part of an expanded NRL event following success last year.

The game will be part of Super League round three next year, with the match considered as one of Wigan's home matches in the competition next year. It's the first confirmed fixture of the 2025 season, though further dates for the season have now emerged.

The Super League season will begin on Thursday, February 13th, with all round one games taking place that weekend. The World Club Challenge has been pencilled in for the following Saturday, February 22nd, with the champions of Super League and the NRL set to lock horns in the UK on Saturday, February 22nd. That, however, has not been finalised, with some obvious logistical challenges in place should one of the four NRL teams participating in Vegas also required to travel to the UK a week before.

In fact, it will be a hectic week for either Wigan or Warrington should they win the Grand Final and the World Club Challenge take place. They would travel to Vegas on Sunday, a day after taking on the NRL's best. Round two will, once again, feature a bye week, with the team drawn to play the Super League champions to sit out.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
