My biggest concern is the manner in which this tackle occurred. Immediately before it Keighran was involved in a coming together with Welsby. They literally get separated and he immediately rushes in and makes a reckless lifting tackle. It's really poor from someone who should have learned a lesson from his previous suspension about being extra careful about how he approaches tackles.

Any player who allows themselves to get wound up by the opposition and immediately does something stupid is a liability. It was only Farrimond controlling the upper body and Smith releasing the right leg that stopped it from being worse.

The rest is madness - Lees shoulder to the face, low impact - yellow sufficient, Havard accidental head clash - £250 fine....

The ban is for the tackle on Sironen which Keighran was involved in with Nsemba. This was after the penalty for the three man tackle on Robertson with Smith and Farrimond. If you watch it closely / slowly there is a tiny lift towards the end of the tackle as they drive Sironen backwards. It’s a minimal lift at best, just a good strong solid tackle which takes the wind out of Sironen. 🤔

I don’t know why we never appeal!

It was repeated what the VR said to the ref when he questioned about the head collision with Havard & you heard the ref say accidental head knock, so why has he got fined?

Is this money part of the kitty for them to have a jolly somewhere perhaps??

We need to start standing up to the joke of a disciplinary committee IMO

I think because we are currently top dogs, we are there to be shot down, so it appears that we are fair game for the Disciplinary Committee.
The problem is that there just isn't any consistency with their decisions, it appears that the decisions are made by a lucky dip system, drum roll let's see what they get.
The decision for Lees not to at least get a fine and Havard to be fined for an accidental head, clash is a prime example of things not being right.

The accidental are a joke the clubs should realistically get together and take legal action against the RFL about them.

If something is truly an accident and there is no foul action by any player involved then there should not be financial penalties for the club.

Screams nothing more than a cash grab for the RFL
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I think we’re hoping that by not appealing, we get some leniency in future decisions but it’s not working, it’s just making us fair game.

I look at the Saints approach of appealing absolutely everything and then appealing the appeal decisions and it seems to have worked for them looking at Lees decision and also there being no issues for the challenge on Dupree later in the game (and them generally not having much to deal with this year). I’m not sure I want us to go down that path but other than looking like a set of whingers, it’s not doing them much harm.

In terms of Keighrans ban, he needs a word from somebody. That lifting technique is causing him problems and he’s not learning his lesson.
Totally agree.
It was the same with Ellis in his first season, he was continually picking up bans for the same things others weren’t!
