Those going start saving your money, Vegas is very expensive. I was there earlier this year and the cost of a pint and a spirit with coke, around the pool, was $80.

Play the machines and the drinks are free! Probably $ 8-10 for a beer plus tip at a non pool bar.

Also, make sure you pick a hotel with an open pool. Most of them close their pools in winter but some keep some of their pools open. So if that important to you, make sure you check that.

You can walk to the stadium from the strip too, so the location is good.

When my wife and I decided to go travelling for a year we did the USA via a company called Trek America. Small group tour camping in national parks but with the odd hotel thrown in when visiting cities. So there was about 14 of us on a mini bus touring around the states and when we got to Vegas the plot was hatched to get married pretending we’d only met on the tour to be assembled spectators who wanted to see a Vegas wedding.

Mini bus was decorated with the usual Just Married decorations and in the hotel after the ceremony we were serenaded by some would be actor at the “wedding feast” which as “newly weds” resulted in quite a lot of free booze including a bottle of champagne.

My wedding attire included a Wigan RL polo shirt so if you really want some free drinks in Vegas, just get married!

We nicked the flowers for my bride to be from one of the displays outside the hotel we were in as well. It was a right laugh and people really did believe we had only just met on holiday.
