You can’t rely on two players! We are a team of 17 not 2. What happens when they get older & slower? And God forbid leave!

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Whoa calm down peeps .Wire didnt take chances at Wembley but tonight took every one. Worst still we gave them their first 18 points . That said MP has already delivered more for us than most coaches ever will. We have most our attacking spine missing plus as a bonus tonight no kicker . Tonight we played a side with all their key play makers fully intact . How can we criticise Miski with Faz as his centre or at all really, good grief ? Farrimond is no Tompkins but more like Smith 3 years ago needs time. Smith/ MP needs to alternate the early kicking regardless of field position its predictable and works only when we are in front.final point its great to have a power pack but 10 yards from your line whos going to make a break ? Thats our problem who exploits the forwards dominance currently aĺl our X factor pace injured

Calm down boys and girls, I didn’t see any trophies being handed out tonight! Yes Warrington were far superior but it is not the end of the world. It is now time for the coaching staff to earn their money and turn this mini blip around. If we stop putting round pegs into square holes then things will improve. The balance of our team is way off kilter. Promote like for like, if we have a centre injured then select a centre out of the reserves/academy. If you are going to select four props on the bench then make the game an arm wrestle. If you are going to select a young half the give him the freedom to play. It is a learning curve for everyone, I would be happy to bet good money that we will come good when it matters.
Regarding Wire, I would like to complement Powell and William who I thought were excellent and ran the show tonight.

I think Yates will be a very canny signing for Wire but Chariots is right the club spends big on youth they know the systems time to stop this malarkey of playing players out of position and give youth a chance

Exactly we still have four trophies, how many do Wire have.Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 12:48 am Calm down boys and girls, I didn’t see any trophies being handed out tonight! A friend said tonight tongue in cheek; "Avoid Warrington tomorrow because of traffic jams due to the open top bus parading through the centre of town"!
It’s the first time they’ve beaten us since 2021!
We will get over this blip don’t worry. Support the team win or lose
Just because someone stumbles, doesn’t mean they’ve lost their way. They just need a little help to stand up again.

Have to admit the highlight of the game for me was the fans reminding wire fans about Wembley that shut them up for a few moments

I stopped reading aftermickali1 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 11:35 pm Not sure MP is the Messiah. As has been alluded to already I think certain players (mentioning no names, but we all know who they are) have carried us . I know MP is a lovely chap but I’m not sure he is suited to the cut and thrust of coaching at the highest level. As EEP has said, why the heck does Smith kick on every last ptb , so predictable. Even an idiot like me can see we need to mix it up a bit.
Why we would play with 4 props on the bench when we have a young lad in the halves and the possibility of an injury to a back is beyond me. In a close game it may pay off but if youare up against it attack wise as we were tonight it gives us no options to try something different.
Also, if anyone is in doubt about Byrne’s suitability as a Wigan player I hope tonight’s effort has convinced you he just hasn’t got the temperament to make it as a starting prop (although not many convinced tonight but they at least have credit in the bank).
I think we should also be looking at a new right sided winger as I think Miski for all of his endeavours lacks the pace to worry the opposition ( not just because he had a stinker tonight ). We

Thanks Josie. I’m away at the moment so wasn’t aware why he wasn’t playing. Let’s hope we get the injured boys back very soon!
