CATS v HULL

Post by Southern Softy »

Nasty goings-on in France last night. The new Hull seemed determined to end Sam's comeback by foul means.
Another calm display by the ref, Liam Rush sort of saved the day.
Two red cards that were right and one flashpoint avoided when a despairing grab (not malicious) saw Sammy brought down when a try seemed on. Defused by the ref and it's worth noticing that the players on both sides seemed to respect him. No backchat - no acting up. This ref seems to be the real deal.

Bit of a scrappy match but very good in parts. We need to get that Sam Tomkins signed. Good un him.

First game back and M.O.M.

Sam is a superstar. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, he is the best fullback I have ever seen at Wigan and I’ve watched them for a long time.

Same here Charriots.
Hasn't got that searing pace anymore but the rugby brain is as good as it ever was.

👍 and a born winner. Cats don’t win that one last night without him playing.

Hull put in a decent shift again, no fluke them beating us? Decent reffing too.
