Happy birthday Billy.

One of the finest players I've ever seen but just as important, one of the finest gentlemen too.

I echo everything that's been said about Billy B.
I was lucky enough to see Billy playing when he was in his prime - he would be about 23/24. He was truly formidable, scattering opponents right, left and center.

He was given a mention in the August edition of the Saga Magazine under the heading "Decade Busters".
'Turning 90, Billy Boston rugby league player'.

Have a wonderful birthday Billy.

Happy Birthday to the greatest.
Can the club start a petition to get a deserved knighthood?

What a guy. I don't know him personally, and I never saw him play, but I know some of his family, and his nephew is a mate; they are all lovely people.

Sad news but his second eldest daughter passed away a couple of days ago πŸ˜’πŸ’”πŸ₯€
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Worth a campaign for a knighthood I think. More deserved than many others who get one.

I watched Billy B from the start of his career at Wigan until the end the most exciting and. Versatile player that I have ever seen. Always was and still is my hero ,the crowds roar of expectation whenever the ball was moved in his direction still resonates today .One of the all time greats !

So sad to hear this Josie and he still showed up for the game. He has just gone up another notch in my estimation of this true Legend.
It was wonderful to see him getting the applause from the crowd to celebrate his 90th birthday.
