Sky Sports +
Re: Sky Sports +
I use the "Now TV" app.
Initially, couldn't access the stream at all. Went through the "help" process and after the usual try this or try that procedure, I was told that I needed to log out of the app and then log back in.
After doing this it worked fine and the quality was first class.
Just puzzled as to why they didn't advise of the change prior to the go live date.

Re: Sky Sports +
OK, got it working on my mobile through sky sports app (after restarting the mobile) and having a major fight with the CAPTCHA thing.
Can't get it working on TiVo box (Virgin pages say I need another device - just £35!) nor through Virgin TV GO (as stated in this thread).
So, I'm catching up on Academy games via WiganTV as its about 33C here and too hot to be in the garden

Installed the sky sports app on phone and iPad, works nicely on iPad, not tried it on the sky a box today as it’s too nice to be inside, experience on iPad is perfectly fine, no lagging etc today.
Re: Sky Sports +
Nothing I've read here convinces me that Sky Sports + is worth bothering with. I'm on Virgin Media too, but don't have a Sky Sports package. However, the new deal on broadcasting means that I do get to see *some* games in full for free, which are screened on Sky Sports Mix channel a couple of days later. Wigan matches all available from Wigan TV eventually. On the rare occasions when there's a big game I can't get to, I can (and have) used the Now TV daily pass. Which used to be 12 quid; I gather it's gone up to 15 now. Considering all the technical ails that people are suffering, is SS+ really worth bothering with?
Re: Sky Sports +
We’re just moving to virgin media so far though only the phone was offered a stunning deal so bit their hands off tv wise they wouldn’t go anywhere near us at present so sticking with sky for now but as soon as the grand final is done the sports will be cancelled and I’ll probably go with the super league app next season

I use NOW TV and I tried out the Sky Sports + thing the one of the matches the other day and it seemed okay. I thought they could've made it a bit easier to find the content but it's a minor gripe considering it doesn't seem all that long ago I was disappointed how little coverage Super League was getting!
We gave up on Sky a few years ago now and I find the NOW TV subscriptions pretty good value especially when you consider the NRL games. I tend to cancel it around November / December time (once the Mosconi Cup is over!) and then take out a new subscription for the start of the season.

Re: Sky Sports +
Was so annoyed with Sky that I'm getting a free upgrade to Sky Q - and a socking great reduction in charges of about one third.
Shouldn't have to be this way but sometimes being rude to a supplier (with due cause) really works.

Re: Sky Sports +
OK if you have the full Sky Sports package. Hard luck if you don't!!
Can always watch the highlights on You Tube.
Is the Hull vs Wigan game on BBC via the Red button as well has Sky?

Re: Sky Sports +
Yes, it is. I checked my recording schedule earlier and it's there on the red button channel, live. And it's repeated on the same channel on Sunday evening.

Re: Sky Sports +
Nice to see the opening screen of Sky Sports+ has four sportspersons including Phil Foden.
But who is that cheeky chappie featuring among the 4? Why it's Liam Marshall.
Great to see him as the face of SL for Sky.
Shaun Wane please note!
